Smoler Proteomics Center

The proteomics center, established at 2004 by the Technion and Israel Ministry of Science, is the Israeli national infrastructure hub for proteome analysis. It facilitates a direct access to technologies, instrumentation and knowhow in the field of protein bioanalysis to all researchers in the life sciences in Israel. More than 72,000 different proteins and proteomics analyses projects with more than 200 research groups and 70 biotech companies were performed. Activities in the center range from identifying and quantifying proteins to analysis of protein complexes and interactions and to large-scale comparisons of proteins and their posttranslational modifications, in healthy and diseased states.
